Securgen announces new 1U SecurStore
External Storage unit
Spokane, Wash., June
21, 2004 — Securgen, LLC, announced
today its latest storage solution for the
small to medium size business (SMB) market.
The SecurStore XS-1U1TB is a 1U JBOD
extended storage solution. This 1U JBOD
extended storage system utilizes 4 250GB WD
drives for 1TB of total storage. When
interfaced via a SCSI adapter, a companion
system will see this 1TB as additional
internal storage so it is seamless to the
end user. Up to 5 of these 1U systems may be
stacked for 5TB of additional external
storage. In the event of a hard disk failure
the drive may be removed and replaced via a
front loading bay (without removing the
system from a rack).
This is an ideal solution for customers
which want to record video, or non critical
data for a very extended period of time but
who lack the budgetary funding for RAID5
systems. Securgen is proud to announce the
